CHARITY: The Royal Parks Half Marathon 2016

I lost my Mum back in April 2015. Not a day gets easier but I still find a lot of comfort in running and I have decided to run the Royal Parks Half again this October in her memory this time for British Lung Foundation. Anything anyone can spare would mean the world.

RUN: The Royal Parks Half Marathon

marathonYesterday I ran my first ever Half Marathon after months of training. It was a great race because the route was fantastic and so beautifully scenic. The atmosphere was unreal and couldn’t have been any better! Highly recommend this event to runners of all ability.

I managed to complete the event myself in 1:51:34 which was better than I expected as I was aiming for under 2 hours and therefore this has set me a new Personal Best to work with. I also managed to raise over £1,200 for Cancer Research UK which I could not be more pleased about, it was way more than I was ever expecting to achieve! I cant wait for the next half already!
