I lost my Mum back in April 2015. Not a day gets easier but I still find a lot of comfort in running and I have decided to run the Royal Parks Half again this October in her memory this time for British Lung Foundation. Anything anyone can spare would mean the world.
Florence Nightingale Hospice are a great charity based in Buckinghamshire, I could never thank them enough and the work they all do is so great. So proud to have dedicated my annual donation from work to them this year to support them in all their upcoming work in 2016.
Yesterday I ran my first ever Half Marathon after months of training. It was a great race because the route was fantastic and so beautifully scenic. The atmosphere was unreal and couldn’t have been any better! Highly recommend this event to runners of all ability. https://royalparkshalf.com/
I managed to complete the event myself in 1:51:34 which was better than I expected as I was aiming for under 2 hours and therefore this has set me a new Personal Best to work with. I also managed to raise over £1,200 for Cancer Research UK which I could not be more pleased about, it was way more than I was ever expecting to achieve! I cant wait for the next half already!
